It's almost a Haiku, one that all Cubs fans can relate to. I have tried to write about this before and deleted the entry. It is time to let go. I listened to a podcast from Cubscast this morning, they talked about how nice it would be if later in the season, we just happen to recognize the guy who quietly came out of the bullpen and got us three uneventful outs as Kerry Wood.
Yes, that would be perfect.
And how an Iowa callup to fill in for an injured starter, and we get a rejuvenated Mark Prior.
I don't need to know how they are doing every game. I don't want to know about 'simulated games' or towel throwing sessions, or even actual starts.
